Electricity
around the clock

In June 2022, we unveiled the new assumptions of TAURON’s Green Turn. The foundations of the new strategy are the results achieved in 2021.

On the path to zero emissions

In 2025 we plan to have 1,600 MW installed in wind, photovoltaic and hydro power plants, and 3,700 MW in 2030. This will account for approx. 80% of the Group's total generation mix.

Summary
2021

Despite the challenging market environment, the TAURON Group’s financial standing remained stable. Revenues exceeded PLN 25 billion, having increased by 23% compared to the previous year, and EBITDA surpassed PLN 4 billion. The Group’s financial performance was largely affected by the increase in the volumes of electricity distribution and generation. The TAURON Group’s standing was also driven by revenues from the capacity market and, significantly, by an increase in the profitability of the RES segment.

TAURON’s Green Turn Electricity around the clock

Investment in renewable energy sources while decarbonizing operations by spinning off coal-fired units to NABE will result in a 78 percent reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030.

We will direct the largest financial stream to investments in distribution infrastructure, enabling, among other things, the connection of new consumers and RES sources, modernization, automation and digitization of electricity grids.
